Outreach to Schools
With our enthusiasm about engineering, we want to encourage students to pursue further education in science, math, and engineering.
Elementary School Outreach
On the Monday of the fall semester study week, we go to local elementary schools an do an engineering activity with elementary school students.
High School Outreach
On the Monday of the spring semester study week, we go to Ithaca High School and do an engineering activity with high school students in science classes.
Spencer Middle School
This is a developing program. Our goal is to visit Spencer Middle School a few times a semester. Since Spencer is about 35 minutes away from Cornell, it doesn't get much interaction with the universities in Ithaca, which we want to change. We will be doing engineering activities with the students and acting as role models for them.
